9.23.16 We had a great time and fellow travelers. Can't wait till the next one. Georgann D.
We had a very small group signed up for the Michigan Wine Trail this time, so we went with a smaller shuttle bus since we had such a short distance to travel. Tim's Tours' shuttle bus proved to be quite comfortable with more leg room than we are accustomed to. Everyone was quite pleased with the transportation and Matt, our driver, was super!
Our first stop was Tabor Hill Winery. Upon arrival, a Tabor Hill representative gave us a tour of the vineyards and the processing plant. For as many times as I have been to the wineries, this is the first time I have been there when there were grapes on the vines.
The back side of the restaurant. Our tour guide said it is beautiful to sit outside here, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the lighted vineyards.
The processing plant. Wine was in the process of being made while we were there.
It was time for our superb lunch with a magnificent view overlooking the vineyards.
It was then time to taste some wine.
After making our purchases, it was time to move on to Round Barn Winery.
Next was Founders Winery.
With so many wines to choose from, some had to contemplate their selections.
Since I do not drink alcohol while on a trip, I sat on the sidelines.
And our last stop was Lemon Creek Winery.
I love these lights.
It was Bonnie's birthday the day of our trip, so Toni brought cupcakes for everyone to celebrate. There was a nice picnic area outside of the winery.
A great time was had by all. We had several passengers on the bus who had never been to a winery and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
