Tunica Casinos & Memphis Ghost Tour
September 6 - 9, 2011

9.10.11   Thanks for another nice trip to Tunica.      Eilene F.

Another great trip to Tunica!  The weather treated us so very kindly and we heard of a few passengers hitting nicely.

We stayed at Sam's Town and visited Roadhouse, Harrah's, Fitzgerald's and Hollywood casinos.  And, as usual, the casinos always feed us well.

On Wednesday evening, we boarded the bus and headed to Memphis to pick up 2 guides at Elvis Presley Plaza for a Ghost Tour, where we listened to stories about famous murders in Memphis and visited the sites, starting out in Deadman's Alley.  Carol and Wanda volunteered to hold the "Ghost Detection Meters" for our guide.

Do I see a couple of orbs in this picture, or is this my imagination?

As a bonus, it was Wednesday Bike Night on Beale Street.  Hundreds of motorcyclists (mostly Harleys) crowded and lined Beale Street to show off their machines.  The streets and sidewalks were shoulder to shoulder people looking at the motorcycles, milling around and eating at the sidewalk eateries.

And dozens of horse drawn carriages lined the street in front of our bus to take people on a tour of downtown Memphis.  Most of the carriage drivers had companion dogs with them.  It all proved to be a very entertaining evening.
