We thought mid-October would be a crisp fall day, but it turned out to be a warm, sunny stellar day......perfect for some wine tasting.
Our first stop was Tabor Hill Winery for lunch and a tasting. Tabor Hill has recently been sold to Round Barn Winery and I have to admit, they are going to have to step it up to live up to the Tabor Hill reputation. They have cleared out their luscious candy case and they need to practice on coordination. The food was still very good and we all had fun tasting, but it just wasn't the same for those of us who have gone on this trip several times.
Our next stop was Contessa Winery - a very small, but lovely tasting room. We had to split the group in half, with half doing the tasting and the other going to the chocolate shop just down the hill. It all worked out well.
A very nice patio where we could wait for the bus to return with the folks from the chocolate shop. You can see the shop down the hill in the background.
Next was 12 Corners - my favorite! There was not one wine I tasted that I didn't like and the service was excellent! Below are my purchases.
To end the day, we went to Vineyard 2121, where we enjoyed cheese and crackers trays while we were served our wine tastings.
A great day was had by all with what has to be the best travelers around!
