IKEA is one of our most popular day trips. The store is quite eye-popping and perfect for a young couple starting out to give them great ideas to start their new home together. Their "rooms" are grouped with wonderfully coordinated furnishings with the prices posted for the entire room or the individual pieces. They also offer anything for the home, with the exception of small electric appliances .
Liz was very tempted to take this lounger home with her.
I'm always fascinated by the cart escalator.
It's worth the trip just to have their Swedish meatballs with Lingonberry sauce in the IKEA cafe.

We then went around the corner to a strip mall which contained a Home Goods, Container Store, Trader Joe's, and many other stores. I thought this little lamp at Home Goods was darling.
We then moved on to Alexandra's Pierogi Outlet Store to purchase a variety of frozen pierogi at discount prices. Below are pictures of the luggage compartments at the end of the trip. There was a 4th compartment, which was already closed up, so I didn't have the driver open it just to take a picture. Everyone remembered to bring their own bags to make their purchases easily identifiable upon our return.
