We had some shoppers on the bus! It took careful coordination by George, our driver, to put everyone's purchases into separate compartments in the luggage area by location of drop-offs when we returned home.
Our first stop was IKEA in Schaumburg, Illinois. IKEA is an amazing Sweden based store who offers just about everything for your home, with the exception of small electric appliances. They have many beautifully decorated rooms for the decorator-challenged.
A darling children's section.
They even have an escalator for your shopping cart.
Shopping can make a person very hungry. A very nice cafe in IKEA. Fantastic Swedish meatballs!
Starting to pack the purchases after IKEA. This was just a start.
We then moved around the corner and down the street to a strip mall which housed a Home Goods, Container Store, Trader Joe's, Nordstrom Rack....just to name a few.
Our last stop was Alexandra's Pierogi. It's a good thing we didn't have another shopping stop, as I'm not sure there would have been room in the under-side of the bus. It was filled to the brim! George looked as though he wondered how women could shop like this. A great time was had by all!
