We didn't have one empty seat on the bus for our day trip to Horseshoe Casino in Hammond. It's always one of the favorite day trips.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the Horseshoe representative, all checked in, and were given our buffet coupons. We had about an hour of play time before being scheduled for lunch.
At the entrance to the buffet.
I chose to have breakfast, with an added piece of chicken and prime rib, with 2 cheese blintzes. For dessert, I had a creme brulee, then went back for a second.
It was too early in the year to have any boats in the harbor yet, but it's still a pretty sight from the windows outside of the buffet.
Then everyone headed down to the casino for the remainder of our stay. I've always had my hands slapped when I've tried taking pictures inside the casino with my camera, but I guess taking them with my phone is OK.
When it was time to leave, I snapped a few more pictures of people waiting in the bus lobby. You can see lots of smiles, so most of the passengers must have held their own. I know of 3 people who cashed out a nice little ticket - one of those not being me. But it's always a fun way to spend time on a rainy day.
It looks like Tom did OK!
And we dodged the predicted storm on the way home.
