It was very, making for a very pleasant day in Chicago with a bit of brisk air. And not a trace of snow in Chicago.
Lunch was at Buca di Beppo's. We had to change our location of lunch due to the fact that Connie's Pizza was filming the day we were scheduled. Buca's always has wonderful food and excellent service, so everyone was pretty pleased with the unique eclectic atmosphere.
You must pass by the Pope Room.
And the kitchen.
Garden Salad and Caesar Salad
Spaghetti, fettuccini alfredo, and chicken parmesan.
Top off the meal with cheesecake.
And if you finish your meal a little ahead of everyone, you can always make a paper boat out of your placemat.
The it was off to the theatre district in Chicago to see "Hello Dolly". Some chose to stop into Garrett's Popcorn, which is right next door to Oriental Theatre.
A stand-in played the role of Dolly and one of our passengers overheard two ushers talking, saying the stand-in was better than Betty Buckley.
A huge thank you to Barb and Denny for allowing me to use the 3 pictures below taken by them.
