FireKeeper's Casino & Amish Dinner
March 16, 2011

3.17  Thanks for another very enjoyable trip. Now I will be looking forward to
the NASCAR trip in June.  It was nice that you were able to find another Amish family to  open up their home to us.  Food was good.  Phyllis R.

We visited the lovely FireKeeper's Casino again in Battle Creek.  I love the spaciousness of that casino.  Lots of room between the aisles so you don't have to push your way to the machines.  Of course, no pictures are allowed in the casino.

Due to the family having the flu, we were unable to have dinner at Rosie's, but we found a wonderful substitution in Shipshewana.  Carolyn Yoder happily took our group with only a few days notice.  We had fresh bread, peanut butter spread, jam, salad, chicken, Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, noodles, 3 pies and a cherry dessert.  What a marvelous meal!

Carolyn also had extra fresh baked bread packaged for purchase, jams and jellies and canned red beets.  I think our group pretty well cleaned out her shelves.
