Cubs vs Toronto
It was crazy busy at the game. Since I had sold all of the 55 tickets I had purchased, I did not have a ticket for myself. So I went to the ticket booth and bought a Standing Room Only ticket for myself. The fella at the counter mentioned that this was a very popular game and he'd see what he could do. I asked him why this particular game was so popular and he said the Cubs and Toronto only play every 6 years. Being a Cubs fan, but not necessarily a baseball fan, I was not aware of this. I have to say that the Toronto Blue Jays fans were the nicest and most polite visiting fans I have run into at Wrigley field. There were almost as many Toronto fans in attendance as Cubs fans and they were in town to attend all 3 games.
The new Park at Wrigley.
Notice the price of a beer.
Both Oh Canada and our National Anthem were played before the game.
It was a hot day, so we were glad to be in the shade.
The city buses get priority parking before the rest of us.
And the famous Chicago traffic trying to get out of town on a Friday night.
