Chicago Cubs vs San Diego Padres
We headed out with a full bus again to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. The temperatures were in the mid to high 70's, but I have to admit, it was a bit chilly sitting in the stands for the game.
We wanted to see what their new addition, "The Park at Wrigley" was all about, so we ventured down to the main floor to have a look. It was a little tricky finding how to enter the area from the ball park itself.
Wow.......what a great attraction for the City of Chicago! A beautiful huge store, a Josten Jewelers featuring all kinds of Cubs jewelry, a Starbuck's, and a restaurant which was to open the following week. A food truck to buy eats and, of course, a place to buy beverages.
I have never been anywhere with the police presence that was there that day. Outside the perimeter of the ball park, there was a Chicago policeman every 20' to 30'. This officer had his beautiful dog with him, and if I understood correctly, it was the dog's last day on duty. He was doing some sniffing!
I'm not sure why they had stopped this young man, but they searched his belongings over well. I wasn't sure if we should move down the sidewalk a bit away from the area.
Sorry to say, this is the score with which the game ended.
