3.15.18 - Great show, great theater, and great tour hostess! Chuck W.
Paramount Theatre has become one of our favorite theatres to visit. They treat bus groups great and the city of Aurora totally cooperates with the congestion at the theatre. The theatre is beautiful and the performances are top notch.
A buffet lunch was held at the Meyer Ballroom directly across the street from the theatre, making it very convenient and easily accessible.
Lunch consisted of Caesar salad, rolls and butter, lasagna, broccoli, coffee, soft drinks, water and cannolis for dessert.
We headed across the street to enjoy the performance. I have to admit that I'd never seen "Cabaret" and did not realize it was as risque as it is, but it was tastefully done and a great performance. I was amazed at the irony that the second act dealt with the beginning of the holocaust, since we had been to the Holocaust Museum the day before.
It was fairly dark inside the theatre prior to the performance, so when I resized and tried to lighten the photos, they turned out pretty grainy.
Beautiful murals throughout the theatre.
They always have a backdrop from the current performance and highly encourage that photos be taken in front of the backdrop.
